     CBM Prayerline:
*GLOBAL - October 16th is World Food Day. May there be more justice in the use of food in our world and a reduction in what is wasted. Pray for those suffering hunger. Many are farmers struggling to survive on small plots of land. Pray for CBM's food security programs to be adequately funded and effective in helping farmers to renew their land and have abundant, healthy crops. Pray also for CBM's emergency relief for those in crisis, especially the escalating situation in South Sudan.
*BOLIVIA - The CBM team in Bolivia praise God for productive and strategic planning meetings. May they continue to see God's leading as they assist local churches in ministries that share the love of Jesus in word and deed. We remember the great need in Bolivia for Chagas prevention and awareness and for the care of vulnerable children, many of whom have to work to provide for their family.
SAMARITAN'S PURSE - Doug and Beulah A. Doug is a team leader in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THOSE WHO WORK IN CHINA WITH ORPHANS - It has been reported through Morning Star Family Home that China is developing a new law that forbids foreigners from working with Chinese children. Pray that God's will would be done in this country where these precious children are concerned.

*CAMAROON, WEST AFRICA – The Boko Haram from Nigeria have crossed into northern Cameroon and have begun to do what ISIS is doing in Iraq. They have imposed Sharia law. Rev. H has announced the churches have been giving spiritual and social help for more than a year to any who flee the Boko Haram in the north. Now the Camaroonian churches have depleted their resources and help from international sources has been slow to appear. Pray for these churches who are trying to help. Also pray for Sister G, a nun, and Rev. A.

This is the plea of persecuted Christians around the world. Today around the world over 200 million are suffering for their faith in Jesus Christ. Each year, Canadians join with Christians in over 130 countries to stand in prayer with our suffering sisters and brothers for the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP).

Persecuted Church – Did you know?

An estimated 100 million Christians are murdered, assaulted, raped, tortured, beaten, abducted, forced to flee as internal, and external refugees.
Many Christians are forced to be secret believers, unable to declare their faith openly, and cannot get help from churches because their presence will jeopardize the safety of churches.
Persecution is growing and expanding in Africa, Chechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Russia, Mexico, Venezuela and Peru.
Christian radio stations like Trans World Radio, HCJB Global Radio, and Far Eastern Broadcasting Association beam into persecuting areas to encourage secret believers.
Persecuted Christians face job discrimination, and lose educational opportunities.
