*International - Please pray for women around the world who face oppression, abuse, economic captivity and lack of opportunities on account of their gender. Each person is unique and his or her gender is part of that uniqueness. We are all equally loved and valued in God's eyes. Let us thus pray and act in ways that affirm and build each other up in Christ. Please lift up the women CBM is working with in Africa, India, Bolivia and East Asia in your prayers.
SAMARITAN'S PURSE - Doug and Beulah A. Doug is a team leader in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THOSE WHO WORK IN CHINA WITH ORPHANS - It has been reported through Morning Star Family Home that China is developing a new law that forbids foreigners from working with Chinese children. PERSECUTED CHURCH

PRAYER WARRIORS NETWORK – Art & Antonia W (Monthly updates available on Mission Board in the foyer.)
*Tibet / China - Pray for "Moses" and "Sister Katie" who encourage Tibetan Christian women. They are being spied on by Tibetan monks and the Chinese secret police.

This is the plea of persecuted Christians around the world. Today around the world over 200 million are suffering for their faith in Jesus Christ. Each year, Canadians join with Christians in over 130 countries to stand in prayer with our suffering sisters and brothers for the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP).

Persecuted Church – Did you know?

An estimated 100 million Christians are murdered, assaulted, raped, tortured, beaten, abducted, forced to flee as internal, and external refugees.
Many Christians are forced to be secret believers, unable to declare their faith openly, and cannot get help from churches because their presence will jeopardize the safety of churches.
Persecution is growing and expanding in Africa, Chechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Russia, Mexico, Venezuela and Peru.
Christian radio stations like Trans World Radio, HCJB Global Radio, and Far Eastern Broadcasting Association beam into persecuting areas to encourage secret believers.
Persecuted Christians face job discrimination, and lose educational opportunities.
