Oshweken Baptist Partnership

TBD

(multi-generational team)

This team will be part of a new partnership between the church families of Ohsweken Baptist and Mississauga City Baptist Church. We will be participating in a variety of activities, including a work project, a leadership training event, worship experiences, cultural examinations and more. This is a new idea and we are looking forward to what God will do as we learn and support each other in the faith journey of our church families through this unique partnership.

This is a great opportunity for those who want to take a significant step in their faith journey to include some cross cultural missions experience that can be continued after the week is over. Our hope is that we can continue to encourage and support OBC in new and exciting ways as a result of what God shows this team during the week.

Date: TBD
(multi-generational)

Cost: $250/person (includes transportation, accommodations, food, materials, etc.)

Important Note!
You need to make arrangements to be able to be away from home for the ENTIRE trip - this allows us to work as a team to make a focused impact on the community we are working with.

Oshweken VBS

Since 1997, Careforce International has been working directly with First Nations youth on reserves in Canada, exploring and developing their potential so that they will lead their communities to health and vibrancy. The needs of these at-risk youth across the country are vast. They are currently focusing efforts in Six Nations of the Grand River (near Brantford, Ontario) to establish and maintain long term relationships which we believe are vital in bringing about change.

We will be partnering with another Toronto-area church to facilitate a summer camp program for these youth and support further opportunities for Careforce to reach into the lives of those in this hurting community.

Dates: August 7-12, 2011

(senior high & twentysomethings)

Cost: $250/person (includes transportation, accommodations, food, materials, etc.)
