India Short-Term Mission

MCBC Missions Team presents Mission India

Experience God at work in INDIA
Widen your worldview for Missions
This is MCBC's international short-term mission project for 2014. Five people, along with our Lead Pastor Richard Root and Augustine A, chair of our Missions Team, will spend 16 days in India learning about this spectacular country, known for its unity in diversity, and participating in some of the marvelous ways people are responding to the gospel. We will be spending time with our mission partner Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) and various indigenous mission agencies. Along the way, you will also have the opportunity to see the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world, and many other places of pilgrimage and beauty that adorn the landscape of India.

TENTATIVE DATES: September 22 - October 6, 2014

Who Is This Man?

we will be starting a new sermon series entitled "Who Is This Man?" where we will look at the unpredictable impact of the inescapable Jesus. During this six-week period, our Care Group study materials will be aligned with our sermon series. In addition to this, our youth ministry and children's ministry will be studying the same topics. If you are not yet a part of a Care Group, please consider joining a Care Group for this six-week period. Speak to Pastor Sheldon or fill out a Connections Card if you have any questions or comments.

The Open Door

The Open Door at Square One is in desperate need for food, toiletries, and diapers. Grocery gift cards and Walmart cards can also be put to good use. You can bring your canned goods, non-perishables, etc., to MCBC and we'll deliver them for you (or you can deliver them to the Open Door).

MCBC 40th Anniversary Commitment

As part of our 40th Anniversary celebrations and in recognition of God's blessings in the life of our church, we invited the people of MCBC to make a three-fold commitment to the Lord this year:
1) To volunteer 40 hours of service in our ministries
2) To participate in MCBC's 40 Days of Prayer beginning early in the new year
3) To contribute to the raising of $40,000 to fund mission work here and abroad
Commitment cards were distributed and people were invited to sign and date the cards, then place them in their Bible or a place of prominence as a reminder of the covenant we made with our Heavenly Father.
If you want one or have misplaced your commitment card, additional copies are available on the Info Board near the church office.
"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Ephesians 3:20-21)
