About Us
Welcome to Mississauga City Baptist
Church, a diverse congregation of about 300 active members coming from some 80 different nations around our globe. Being as diverse as we are, this is
an interesting place to be. All sorts of ideas are birthed and when possible
given room to grow into programs and ministries. We depend on volunteers to offer leadership for most
of our programs. As a result ministries are made available as volunteers are
found to staff and lead these.
In addition to morning
worship at 10:00 on Sunday mornings, which blends both traditional and
contemporary expressions, we offer church school for children during worship. We
have a group for
children, Acorns, which meeting during the week. We have a youth group for teens, which
junior high meets on Tuesday nights and senior high meets on Thursday nights. We offer
a number small group study opportunities, cell groups which during the week at a
variety of locations. There is a women’s ministry, which
meets from time to time, and a men’s group. The Third Wave Christian
Fellowship Seniors meet on Wednesdays for
a potluck supper and fellowship time.
In 2003, MCBC celebrated "Thirty Years Of Family", remembering
thirty years of ministry since the congregation was founded in the Mississauga area in 1973.
